In many developing countries, the share of workers employed in manufacturing is shrinking. As a result the traditional pathway to richness, by means of industrialization, is closed or at least difficult to achieve. This week, Gaaitzen de Vries is presenting at a UNIDO workshop organized to discuss new pathways and policies for structural transformation in developing countries.
