Gaaitzen de Vries has been appointed special term Research Professor of Global Value Chains at the University of International Business and Economics, Beijing. The centre in which he participates is dedicated to research activities on the development of Global Value Chains and its implications for China, the Asian-Pacific region and the World Economy. Besides conducting research, he will guide Ph.D. students and post-doctoral research fellows in their research at the centre.
