This month's article presents an analysis of the Buddha Mummy Statue case by UG author Zhen Chen, in which Chinese village committees sued a Dutch collector for the return of a stolen golden statue that contains a mummified Buddha. This brought up the question: is a mummy a person or a property, or in fact neither?
