Aletta Dive Planetary Health - a shared transition towards a liveable future
When: | Th 02-11-2023 09:15 - 14:00 |
Where: | House of Connections, Grote Markt 21, Groningen |
Planetary health is a (research) field and a social movement which promotes the collaboration between us - humans - and the planet we inhabit. It focuses on the interaction of our activities and the planet’s health which in turn affects our health.
There are many great initiatives in the Northern Netherlands relevant to planetary health (although they may have different labels) created by various groups: research teams at academic institutions, societal organisations, communities, and citizens; with the goal to contribute to improving the health of our planet and the transition towards a liveable future for us all.
However, how can we get to know each other's projects and initiatives? How do we connect and strengthen these initiatives?
At this Aletta Dive, we aim to connect, inspire, and share ideas and lessons learned.
Let’s
get together
and work towards the transition to a liveable future!

Are you or will you be involved in any of the existing or new initiatives?
You are invited to showcase your initiative or (research) projects, connect to other researchers and societal stakeholders, identify areas for common goals, and a potential link with national and international agendas.
We would like to use the event to start an interactive online platform, in cooperation with existing projects, to provide a clear overview of existing initiatives and projects in order to facilitate their visibility and easier knowledge sharing.
Would you like to be a part of it? Present your initiative or project at the Aletta Dive! The registration for intiative presentation is closed now. Please email s.h.dijkstra@rug.nl if you still want to join.
-
The intention is to showcase your (research) group initiative/project as a relevant stakeholder.
-
Your submission can have various formats (e.g. networking poster, website, video, an object etc., whatever you feel communicates your initiative best).
-
As the audience is expected to have various backgrounds, your presentation needs to be easily understandable to different audiences (not a ‘research poster’:-).
What will we do for you?
-
We will create an EXPO environment to showcase your initiative at the House of Connections.
-
We will set-up a ‘healthy planet idea wall’ to collect new (out of the box) ideas and questions!
We are excited to meet with you, to learn about your projects and your ideas to work together towards a livable future!
