Faculty BSS Impact Dialogue

You are invited to join the discussion on creating societal impact from research at the Faculty of Behavioural and Social Sciences. Especially our line of research is of high interest of the society. But how does it work, collaboration with society, and who is the society anyway?

The afternoon session will feed you with innovative ideas and practical approaches on how you can improve the impact-factor of your research. It will give you insights in how to work on your non-academic network and how to cooperate with partners outside the university. We discuss the barriers, opportunities and chances on the road to impact.

This meeting can be seen as the start of a dialogue within the Faculty on how to improve the impact factor of research. In our opinion this is not the responsibility of researchers only. The University has a lot of support to offer in building your networks and training you on how to act outside academia. As a follow-up of the session in the upcoming year a couple of meetings and trainings will be offered tailored to the specific needs and questions, for researches in all stages of their career. More information about these trainings and meetings will be given on April 13th.

The meeting will not be a good-news show only. We will dip into all these aspects that make you wonder whether it is beneficial to work on societal impact. The meeting is for the curious ánd the critics. The audience will be actively involved in the panel session. Please join us and do not miss out on the opportunity to be part of the dialogue on societal impact at the Faculty of BSS.
