Our world is becoming more and more globalised with each passing year and many people away to different places all over the world. However, attention is rarely given to the plight of migrants who are adapting to a new culture. How do they cope with the pressure of 'fitting in' in their new home? How do they express and deal with negative emotions?'
dr. Jeanette Den Toonder is professor in the Faculty of Arts at the University of Groningen, and Director Centre for Canadian Studies.
