Research Zernike (ZIAM) Bio-inspired Circuits & Systems Chicca group

New BICS member Lyes Khacef

01 October 2020

We welcome Lyes Khacef as a new BICS member. He has joined our research group on the 1st of October 2020 as a postdoctoral researcher.

Lyes Khacef attended the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (IGEE), Boumerdes-Algeria and graduated with a B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering in 2015. He continued his studies at the Université Nice Sophia Antipolis, France, where he received an M.Sc. in 2017 in Embedded Systems. Since then he is a PhD student at the Université Cote d'Azur in the field of Brain-inspired Computing.

Lyes's primary motivation comes from his interest in biologically inspired computational principles. He is interested in investigating how biological neural networks learn and how they solve the problem of limited ressources and locality constraints.
