The Hunebed Highway and d'n Achterhoek Tsjoek: On a journey through the Lower Saxon musical landscape
How do musicians create regional identity and what does it consist of? In this lecture, we will travel through the Lower Saxon musical landscape to explore the ways in which artists incorporate specific ideas about the countryside into their music. By studying this music, you can learn a lot about distinctive regional characteristics, for example the landscape, rural culture, language and history.
