Reconstructing Mosul: a photo exhibition

By Kiki Santing

How do you reconstruct a city that lies in ruins? Mosul, Iraq’s second largest city, has great historical and cultural significance. The city was liberated in 2017, after being under the control of the Islamic State for 3 years. The liberation led to the destruction of big parts of the city. This exposition shows how the city is being rebuilt, what is being prioritized (and what is being neglected) and the impact it has on its residents.

Please note: The festival programme, including the exact starting time of all events and activities, will be online at the beginning of September.
