Placements

During your studies at the Faculty of Arts, you can do a placement for credits both in year 3 of your Bachelor's ((Career) Minor) and in your (Research) Master's. All information about placements can be found via your programme page on Study Info or directly under the heading ‘Placement and Career’. You will find examples of placements, as well as the step-by-step placement plans with the forms to have your placement plan approved by the lecturer, to fill in your contract, and a link to Mobility Online to register and apply for a scholarship for a placement abroad. If you have questions about placements, visit the placement information sessions announced on the Career tab in the Student Portal or visit the desk of the Student Affairs Office on the first floor of the Harmony.

Open office hours

With questions about placements and finding them, you can contact the placement coordinator for the Faculty of Arts (Esther Haag). Her open office hours are on Mondays from 13:00-14:30, Tuesdays from 13:00-16:00, and Thursdays from 13:00-14:30. You can book your personal appointment via placementarts.youcanbook.me or call her.

Job service

New vacancies arrive weekly through the faculty's job service. The Placement Department of the Office of Student Affairs advertises these on UG Connect, which you can find on the Career tab of your Student Portal. For internship vacancies, ask your lecturer for approval before accepting a placement.
