The starting date of EngD programme is the 1st of September. The programme runs in parallel to the academic year.
The application deadline differs for EU and Non-EU nationals, due to possible visa or work permit requirements.

EU nationals: approximal time to registration into the EngD programme is up to 2 months before start of the programme.

Non-EU nationals: approximal time to registration into the EngD programme is up to 4-5 months before start of the programme.
Yes, an English certificate is always required, unless you:

Are a native English speaker.

Have followed at least three full years of secondary or post-secondary education in any of the following countries: Canada, USA, UK, Ireland, New Zealand, Australia.

Have completed a Bachelor's or a Master's programme fully taught in English.
The PhD and EngD are both at the 3rd cycle of academical education, so they are both at the doctoral level.

The EngD trainees will have regular meetings with university and company supervisors during the whole time of the programme.
In these meetings the progress of the trainee and the project will be evaluated and discussed.
