Y.O. (Yuliya) Hilevych, PhD
I am an Assistant Professor at the Department of Economic and Social History at the University of Groningen. Previously, I was a British Academy Newton International Fellow in the Faculty of History at the University of Cambridge (2018-2019) and subsequently a Senior Lecturer in Sociology at the University of Lincoln in the UK (2020-2021), where I am currently a Visiting Research Fellow. I serve as an Associate Editor of SN Social Sciences (ISSN: 2662-9283) published by Springer Nature.
I hold BA and MA degrees (2010, 2011) in History and Theory of Sociology from the Faculty of History at University of Lviv in Ukraine, and a PhD in Sociology (2016) from Wageningen University (a joint degree with Radboud University) in the Netherlands. I also carried projects for the Dutch Ministry of Security and Justice, the United Nations (UNFPA), and the Centre for Urban History of East Central Europe in Lviv, Ukraine.
