C.I. (Christine) Andrä, PhD
Christine Andrä is Assistant Professor in the Department of International Relations and International Organization. Prior to joining IRIO, she was a Lecturer and Research Associate at the Chair of International Politics, Technical University Dresden (Germany), and a Postdoctoral Research Assistant in the Department of International Politics, Aberystwyth University (UK).
Christine obtained her PhD in International Politics from Aberystwyth University. Her doctoral studies were funded by an Aberystwyth University Doctoral Career Development Scholarship, a Fulbright Scholarship for Visiting Researchers to the United States, and a Teach@Tübingen Research Scholarship. She holds a BA in Political Science and Rhetoric from the University of Tübingen (Germany), an MA in International Studies/Peace and Conflict Research from Goethe University Frankfurt (Germany), and an MRes in Political and Social Research from the European University Institute in Florence (Italy).
Christine is spending the current academic year (2024-25) as a Fellow at the Institute for Advanced Study/Hanse-Wissenschaftskolleg in Germany. Previously, she was a Visiting Professor at the Department of International Relations, PUC-Rio (2024); a Visiting Fellow at the Faculty of Law and Political Science, Universidad de Antioquia (2023); a Research and Teaching Fellow at the Institute of Political Science, University of Tübingen (2018-19); a Faculty Fellow at the School of International Service, American University in Washington, D.C. (2016-17); and a Research Assistant at Bonn International Centre for Conversion (2011-12).
