A glimpse of the Venus transit
RUG-astronomer Marc Verheijen made these pictures of the 2012 Venus transit on Wednesday 6 June.
Some 100 people came to the Vismarkt, where astronomers from the University were ready with their telescopes. Unfortunately, clouds blocked the view. But visitors could watch a live stream from China, provided by Theo Jurriens of the RUG.
