Chinese Job searching experience a wonderful success
The job searching experience exchanging meeting organized by China-Europe Growth Foundation Groningen (CEGF) Team on 16th Feb was a wonderful success. This event is the start of a series of Experience Exchanging events to be held in Groningen, which is strongly supported by the Career Office University of Groningen. Nearly 30 Chinese students attended the event which they subsequently as well-organized and extremely helpful!
The main speaker Zhida Xu, an excellent graduate of University of Groningen and now an employee of DSM, was invited to share his knowledge of Dutch labor market and experience through job searching. His combination of first-hand experience and handy information indeed set the audience thinking. During the Q&A session, questions about learning Dutch, employment relationship as well as feasible job searching approaches were discussed through interaction. During the event, Sharon Anderson, CEGF Board delivered a warm-up speech and Chen Long, one of the student-ambassadors from the Groningen Team introduced the coming voluntary activities.
The audience was highly motivated and encouraged by their speeches, which was reflected by the Evaluationresults. Our statistics shows that 65,2% of the audience considered this event as ‘very helpful’ and a highly 86,9% was encouraged by this event for their future job searching. More than 90% of the respondents gave positive comments on the organization of this event and they expected to attend such activities in the future.
