Department of Administrative Law and Public Administration wins contract worth EUR 1.2 million

The University of Groningen's department of Administrative Law and Public Administration has been awarded a EUR 1.2 million grant for a Nuffic-funded project. The aim of the project is to further develop Public Administration as a scientific discipline at the University of Mzumbe in Tanzania. Giving training to staff members of Mzumbe's Faculty of Public Administration and Management will be an important part of the project.

The grant proposal was written in close cooperation between the Bureau of International Relations and the Department of Administrative Law and Public Administration. The University of Groningen will be leading a consortium consisting of VU University Amsterdam, the University of Groningen and two consultancy agencies. Professor De Ridder will be the director of the project.
