Numerous energy experts at EDReC convention in Groningen
An international crowd of experts in the field of energy transition working in the business industry or with government and knowledge institutions, will be at the Energy Delta Research Centre (EDReC) at the Faculty of Economics from 20 to 22 November. This year is the second time the Energy Convention Groningen is organized. Last year the conference attracted more than 400 visitors from 31 countries. “The north of the Netherlands is turning into an international centre of expertise and know-how in the field of energy”, states Dr. Bert Wiersema, director of EDReC of the University of Groningen and organizing this conference.
Moscow, Barcelona, South-Africa and Germany are cities and countries that give act de presence on the Energy Convention Groningen 2006. Many keynote speakers hold high positions in the field of energy: Kjell Aleklett (President Association Peak Oil & Gas), Jean-Marie Devos (Secretary-General Eurogas), Noé van Hulst (Director Strategie International Energy Agency), Stephan Singer (Director Energy WNF) en Roelf Venhuizen (CEO NAM). The Energy Convention Groningen will focus on the development of international gasmarkets and gas as the transition fuel to a sustainable energy future.
