Online language course collaboration - University of Twente and University of Groningen
In January 2017, the Universities of Twente and Groningen will start a joint online language programme: staff members of the University of Twente will follow an online language course offered by the University of Groningen Language Centre.

The course participants will learn Dutch up to level A1 (CEFR) and can continue learning Dutch in Twente or online once when they will have successfully completed the course. Since both language centres use the same textbooks, participants can choose to either join one of the regular courses at the TCP Language Centre in Twente or carry on with an online course from the Language Centre of the University of Groningen.
Flexibility
‘This collaboration offers our participants the flexibility of online language learning. The Language Centre of the University of Groningen has a lot of experience in online learning. We are able to support our learners in the best way possible’, says Kathelijn Jacobs. Ms Jacobs is the coordinator of the TCP Language Centre at the University of Twente.
Online Dutch Courses
The online Dutch language courses of the University of Groningen are designed to help students at all levels learn Dutch. Jeroen van Engen coordinates the online language learning programme at the University of Groningen Language Centre. ‘The course design is based on our textbooks and has been expanded with clear grammar and pronunciation videos. A lot of attention is paid to for the productive skills as well, such as writing and speaking.’
The collaboration will start in January when the Online Dutch 0-A1 course begins. The course will last until the end of March 2017. Staff members of the University of Twente can register through the TCP Language Centre of the University of Twente.
