External client satisfaction survey shows 98% of clients satisfied

Every two years, research agency Cedeo conducts a client satisfaction survey among participants of the University of Groningen Language Centre training courses for professionals. We give training courses to a range of organizations, government institutions, and businesses. They come to us either via a tendering procedure, or a free intake meeting, or by directly registering for a course from our open course range. This year, a good 98% of these clients were found to be either satisfied or extremely satisfied with our services. With this fantastic result, we have once again been issued with the Cedeo recognition for training courses for professionals.

In the survey, Cedeo asks participants and commissioning parties about their experiences with the Language Centre through a number of focused questions. Commissioning parties that contracted our services through a tendering procedure gave the following reasons for choosing us:

‘We approached multiple providers. I was looking for a provider that would make something tailor-made, with attention to both practice and theory.’

‘Two of our colleagues anonymously participated in another course at the Language Centre, to observe it. They gained a very positive impression.’

On the results of the courses, participants stated:

‘Participants are really drawn from their shells to speak the language, through which self-confidence increases.’

‘After the course, the participants spoke Dutch more in the workplace. Our commissioning party is satisfied.’

Via a free intake meeting, potential course participants can also directly inquire about a tailor-made training course that is aligned to their wishes. Clients who followed this type of course with us were enthusiastic about the focused and personal approach:

‘The course quote was to-the-point and complete. Much attention had been spent on it.’

‘The course was definitely adjusted to our needs. Not only regarding content, but also the number of sessions. We wanted more and shorter sessions. This was all no problem.’

‘We wanted to learn about some cultural aspects too: What is the Netherlands like, where have we found ourselves, and how do people do things here? This wish was met well.’

In addition to tailor-made training courses, participants are, of course, also able to directly join one of our open group courses. A few responses from participants in these courses include:

Ultimately, our courses are all about the content itself and that participants learn something from it. This goal can only be achieved through good teaching. It is nice to be able to read in the report that, above all, participants mentioned the quality of the teaching as a highlight of the Language Centre.
