Develop your intercultural skills during our Summer Schools for students!

Are you interested in culture and intercultural communication? Do you want to communicate effectively with people from other cultures? If so, the Summer Schools on Intercultural Competence could be for you!
Intercultural competence is considered one of the top 10 skills necessary for future workers. It helps you to recognize cultural differences and to understand their influence on interaction. This skill allows you to easily prevent misunderstandings and miscommunications! By developing your intercultural competence, you will gain a life skill and improve your future employability.
These Summer Schools are aimed at students of all educational levels. During a week of intensive training, we will cover everything from cultural stereotypes to communication styles. You will:
- gain a deeper insight into your own culture
- learn more about different behavioural and communication patterns
- share critical intercultural incidents and best practices
- develop your own intercultural competence with the help of exercises, games, and simulations
- learn how to deploy intercultural competence development in your academic and/or professional field(s)
The Summer Schools will take place from 27 June to 1 July. One of them will be taught in person, and two will be offered online: one for participants from Europe and further east, and another for participants from Europe and further west. Registration is possible until 1 May 2022. For more information and an opportunity to register, visit our website.
