Join us for an informative webinar organised by UMCG's Data Science Center in Health (DASH) and the ELSA AI Lab Northern Netherlands (ELSA-NN) on the complex laws and regulations surrounding Artificial Intelligence (AI) in healthcare. The European regulatory framework is constantly evolving, making it imperative to understand the implications for healthcare innovation.
In this webinar, we will delve deeper into the understanding of AI regulation in healthcare and examine the latest AI regulations relevant to the healthcare sector, understanding how these regulations are shaping the landscape of innovation in healthcare. We also explore AI risk classification and its impact, delving into the nuances of AI risk classification and its direct impact on the development of AI in healthcare.
We further discuss the proposed changes to the product liability directive. During this webinar, experts Dr Ritumbra Manuvie and Prof Jeanne Mifsud Bonnici will give presentations. The event will be chaired by Mirjam Plantinga, project leader of ELSA-NN. Dr Manuvie is assistant professor of law at the University of Groningen and Prof Mifsud Bonnici is professor of technology law and co-founder of the Security Technology and E-privacy group at the Faculty of Law. Together, they research the legal and socio-political aspects of AI in healthcare for ELSA-NN.
