Workshop on Fairness of an AI model: AI perspective
When: | Fr 21-03-2025 13:00 - 15:00 |
Where: | Education Room 8 (2th floor), UMCG |
Are you curious about what Trustworthy AI is? Or do you want to know more about the fairness of an AI model? In this interactive workshop you gain basic insights in how skin lesions can be classified with an AI model. You will see how real world data can bias a model, and how it can be prevented.
About the speaker
Steff Groefsema is a PhD candidate on ‘Ethical uncertainty in medical AI’ which is an interdisciplanery PhD funded through the m20 program of the Ubbo Emmius Foundation. After completing a master’s in Artificial Intelligence, I wanted to look at challenging applications in the real world. This interdisciplanary PhD with the UMCG enables me to develop models which can help the user to indetify performance prob, ems.
