Social safety

The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) is dedicated to ensuring a safe environment for our students and staff. We believe it is crucial to foster, facilitate and promote dialogue about social safety. We are confident that these dialogues will raise awareness and normalize speaking out.

Knowing that our students and staff will only experience belonging if the environment is socially safe, FEB advocates for a dual approach in addressing social (un)safety: 

• For those who are willing and feel comfortable, we identify strategies for speaking up (in the moment, afterwards with a peer, and/or to a supervisor at a later moment for instance)
• Our Faculty Board and social safety contact person are committed to professionalizing the FEB leadership and management in listening up: being proactive in identifying challenges for students and staff and speaking to the accountability of our community’s leaders
