I have an international diploma with a comparable background, can I apply for a customized entry package?

No. As an international applicant, you need to apply to the Master’s programme. The Admission Office will then review your portfolio to check for your eligibility. See this page for more information.

I have already started an 'old' customized entry package, what are my options?

Students who have already started the ‘old’ customized entry packages can either finish them or change to the new package. In the latter case, students should contact the premsc.feb rug.nl for further discussion.

I do not qualify for any of the customized ntry packages, how can I start with my (Pre-)master?

Bachelor’s students who are not eligible for a customized entry package can apply through Studielink for one of the Pre-Master’s programmes as listed on the website. During the application process, the Admissions Board will assess whether any dispensations can be granted (typically for methodology courses); students should send us a request for such exemptions by filling in this form before July 1st.

I am an HBO student, can I apply for one of the customized entry packages?

HBO students are NOT eligible for customized entry packages.

I have not yet received all my grades from the customized entry package and my Master's is already starting (only February starts), what do I do?

In this case, you are allowed to provisionally start with the Master’s programme. You have to enroll to the Master’s courses and attend the introductory lecture(s) in the first week. If it turns out that you did not pass all your Pre-Master’s courses, you are not allowed to continue with the Master’s. Please do not forget to apply for the Master’s before the relevant deadline (1 January for February start).

At the moment I am doing a Master's programme at another faculty, can I also follow a Pre-Master's?

Yes, you can. However, you can only participate in Pre-Master’s courses (which are officially Bachelor courses) with a Bachelor enrolment. So if you are not enrolled in a Bachelor's at the University of Groningen, you have to register for the Pre-Master’s through Studielink. If you have a Dutch Master, please also contact the Pre-MSc management to discuss specific entry requirements for you through premsc.feb@rug.nl.

I am doing a Bachelor at the University of Groningen, when can I start with my customized entry package?

If you have an enrolment at another Bachelor programme at the University of Groningen you can already start with your customized package or pre-master programme during your Bachelor programme as ‘extra’ courses. In this situation we ask you to mail us at premsc.feb rug.nl so that we can add you to the Pre-MSc community on Brightspace.
