Erasmus+ Programme 2014-2020

The European Commission aims at a strong Higher Education sector in Europe in order to be able to compete with the rest of the world. International cooperation and mobility will strengthen Europe’s position and visibility in the world and increase competitiveness in Europe’s neighbouring area. The Commission facilitates this by providing scholarships to both European and non-European students and staff and by supporting university management and capacity building projects.

Erasmus+

The European programme for individual mobility and projects for Education, Training, Youth and Sports is called Erasmus+. The programme runs from 1 January 2014 till 1 January 2021.

In order to participate in the Erasmus+ programme, universities need to have received the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education 2014-2020, which lays down the rules and regulations of the programme for both mobility and international projects. The Erasmus Policy Statement, drawn up by the institution itself, is related to the Erasmus Charter.
