The University of Groningen (UG) leads pioneering efforts in hydrogen and green molecules through a collaborative approach involving researchers from various disciplines, including engineering, law, business, and behavioral sciences.

Partnering with industry leaders, knowledge institutions, and governments both regionally and internationally, UG is dedicated to advancing not only the development of hydrogen technologies but also comprehensive strategies involving policy, business cases, and regulatory frameworks. These multifaceted efforts are crucial in driving the energy transition and strengthening the hydrogen economy in Northern Netherlands and beyond.

Beyond our cutting-edge research, we are building a global community through workshops, symposia, and educational initiatives. These activities promote knowledge exchange and provide strategic guidance for the creation of hydrogen valleys on a global level.

Through these collaborative initiatives, UG is actively contributing to the advancement of clean energy and the transition to a climate-neutral society, working together with global partners to achieve these goals.
