NWO NERA Energy Symposium 2025

The latest developments in the science of energy transition will be presented at the third edition of the NWO NERA Energy Symposium. Do you want to expand your network in the energy sector and keep up to date with inspiring science for the energy transition? Then come to Utrecht on 7 February!

With a congested power grid, geopolitical turmoil, and a changing political climate in The Hague (and elsewhere), the energy transition seems to be at a standstill. How can we re-energise the energy transition and what role does scientific research play in this? The theme of this edition of the NWO NERA Energy Symposium is therefore: ‘Recharging the energy transition’.

With inspiring presentations, workshops, and posters, the latest results are presented. Naturally, there is plenty of room to network with companies, policymakers, and scientists from various disciplines. All to answer that one question: ‘how do we get the energy transition going again?’

This symposium offers a platform for scientists from all disciplines involved in the energy transition. For companies involved in the energy transition. And for policymakers from all levels of government to share knowledge, inspire and inform, and network.
