We are pleased to invite you to the symposium 'Nuclear energy and the North', in which scientific insights from various professional groups on the theme of 'nuclear energy' will be discussed. This theme has become very topical following the previous Dutch government's announcement to build two new nuclear power plants and a confirmation of this by the current administration.
After a number of short lectures on different aspects of nuclear energy, a discussion will take place between attendees and experts from different disciplines. The aim of this meeting is to explore how to look at this current topic from different scientific perspectives. These aspects are briefly described in this brochure.
