dr. Y. (Yasemin) Karaibrahimoglu

Yasemin Zengin-Karaibrahimoğlu is an Associate Professor at the Department of Accounting and Auditing at the University of Groningen, which she joined in 2014. Previously, she was an Assistant Professor at the Izmir University of Economics. In addition to her current academic position, she serves as the co-editor of the European Accounting Association (EAA) Newsletter, is a member of the EAA virtual activities committee, and serves on the editorial board of the British Accounting Review and Accounting Forum.

Her research focuses on diverse domains, with a particular focus on auditing, corporate governance, ownership structure, and financial and non-financial reporting. Engaging closely with professional regulatory bodies and fostering an international network in accounting, Yasemin is active in multiple research projects funded by external national and international professional organizations. Her work has been published in internationally renowned academic journals such as Strategic Management Journal, Harvard Business Review, Contemporary Accounting Research, European Accounting Review, International Journal of Auditing, European Journal of Management, and Journal of Business Ethics.
