dr. S. (Seonok) Lee

She earned her Ph.D. in the Department of Sociology at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada. Based on ethnographic research, her doctoral dissertation examines how economic migration and global capitalism are deeply intertwined with the production of race and racial hierarchies. Her research involved ethnographic research and working alongside immigrants and foreign migrant workers in South Korean factories, and immigrant brides from Southeast Asian countries.
