N. (Nati) Mansilla Ovejero, LLM
Natividad Mansilla Ovejero works as EU Project Manager within the STeP Research Group (Security, Technology & e-Privacy Research Group) at the Faculty of Law of the University of Groningen.
As member of the Project Management team her contribution is mainly focused on the proper and effective management of H2020 collaborative research projects to ensure that the legal, financial, scientific and administrative procedures set up by the European Commission are followed.
Natividad obtained her Law degree at the Faculty of Law of the University of Valencia. While gaining some international working experience at private companies she specialized in “Law and electronic transactions” through a post-graduate study coordinated by the Department of Electronic Engineering, University of Valencia. In 2002 she graduated with distinctions (Cum Laude) her LLM in International Economic and Business Law at the RuG, being most research papers focused on the electronic transactions (i.e. the moment and place of conclusion of electronic contracts or permanent establishment in e-commerce for tax purposes). The LLM thesis analyzed “Electronic contracts and customers: issues of jurisdictional competence in the E.U.”, a blooming topic at a very incipient stage at that time.
Prior to her appointment at the University of Groningen in March 2016, she collaborated in activities at governmental institutions and private sector, where for several years she has been involved in projects with different participation levels, always in international environments and with a multidisciplinary dimension.
