M.T. (Marijn) van Geet
Marijn van Geet (Huissen, 1990) is a PhD researcher in transport infrastructure planning at the Department of Spatial Planning & Environment. He holds a MSc from the University of Oldenburg in Water and Coastal Management (2014, cum laude) and from the university of Groningen in Environmental and Infrastructure Planning (2015).
In his current PhD research “Planning for value; integrating transport and spatial planning” (started December 2015), funded by the public agency Rijkswaterstaat, Marijn studies the influence of formal and informal institutions on the appraisal, funding, delivery and monitoring of integrated land use and transport policies and projects. For his doctoral thesis Marijn is engaged in a research project for the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Environment on improving the coordination and fit between the Dutch national Planning Programming and Budgeting System (MIRT) and the National Environmental Strategy (NOVI). This project also comprises a study on the formulation and implementation of integrated land use and transport policies at provincial level.
