Maria Alina Radulescu is an Early Stage Researcher, affiliated with Rijkswaterstaat, part of the RECOMS Marie Sklodowska Curie (MSCA) Innovative Training Network and a PhD student at the University of Groningen. Maria completed her bachelor studies in Urban Planning and Design at the “Ion Mincu” University of Architecture and Urban Planning, Romania, in 2010. Afterwards, she started the double degree Erasmus Mundus Planet Europe master programme at Cardiff University and Radboud University Nijmegen. She finished her master in 2014 with the thesis “The impacts of second home tourism: a local residents’ perspective. A case study on Cheia, Romania”. Maria holds a MSc in European Spatial Planning and Environmental Policy from Cardiff University and a MSc in Spatial Planning from Radboud University Nijmegen. Prior to starting her doctorate, she worked for more than 6 years as a planning officer and urban planner on masterplans, land-use plans and planning regulations in Romania.
