dr. F.H.C.E. (Ferdinand) van der Graaf

As a member of the Professionalization and Innovation in Education (PIE) team within the Centre for Learning and Teaching (CLT) at the Faculty of Science and Engineering (FSE), my primary goal is to enhance effective teaching practice in support of actice student learning.

My academic background includes a degree from the University of Amsterdam in Biology and a PhD in Medical sciences from the University of Groningen. After completing the teacher training program at the University of Groningen I have been working as a teacher and educational developer in secundary and tertiary education from 2002 onwards.

I actively participate in diverse initiatives and projects, such as the implementation of the UG assessment policy and activating first year students, and teach in the Education and Communication master at FSE.
