dr. B.F. (Bertus) Jeronimus
Associate professor
Bertus Jeronimus studied clinical and developmental psychology and Dutch law at the university of Groningen. Currently his work is focused on a better understanding of daily life stress and the role of personality and subjective wellbeing at the department of developmental psychology. The NWO Gravitation Stress-in-Action (2023-33) will keep him focused on stress concepts and processes.
One important line of research is focused on neuroticism (PhD thesis 2015) by zooming into happy neurotics (Veni, 2018-2021) and attempts to decipher the wisdom of high neuroticism in adolescence (NUDS project 2023-24). Other work focsuses on recovery and Resiliency such as among Youth with Suicidal Thoughts or Behaviors (2023-24).
