A.K. (Ann) Tank, Dr

Ann Tank is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Accounting. Before joining the University of Groningen in 2022, she was an Assistant Professor at the University of Stuttgart (Germany) from 2016 till 2022 and she was Visiting Researcher at Caltech (CA, USA) 2018/19. Between 2011 and 2016, Ann was a doctoral student at the University of Stuttgart and received a doctoral degree in Management Accounting (Dr.rer.pol.). 

Ann's research covers fields at the intersection between management accounting and neuroscience. Ann uses behavioral and neurobiological experiments to investigate the basis of the processing of accounting information and decision making in the human brain. Her research has been published in both disciplinary and interdisciplinary academic journals such as European Accounting Review and Applied Sciences.
