dr. mr. A.G. (Antenor) Hallo de Wolf
Current projects:
I am currently working to expand on some topics related to my PhD (on privatization and human rights) with respect to the regulation of essential public services and its relationship with human rights. I published a paper on the Netherlands International Law Review entitled "Human Rights and the Regulation of Privatized Essential Services".
In light of this publication and in cooperation with other colleages at the International and Constitutional Law Department, we organized a series of seminars at the end of 2013 and which lasted until 2015. The theme was 'Human Rights in Essential Public Service Provision'. The final output of this project is a book published in December 2016 by Routledge entitled ´Socio-Economic Human Rights in Essential Public Services Provision´
Recently finalized projects:
Together with my colleague Dr. Brigit Toebes and our research assistant, Veelke Derckx , we completed a researach project in the summer of 2013 which combined our research expertise and knowledge. The project was entitled: "OPCAT implementation in health care settings in the Netherlands - Implementing the Optional Protocol to the UN Convention Against Torture: protecting human dignity and integrity in healthcare". This project was funded by the Open Society Foundation (OSF), and focused on the treatment and possible abuse of vulnerable persons in healthcare settings. An official report with the findings of the project (in both English and Dutch) as well as links to related publications can be found on the web page of the project.
