About us

Science LinX is the science center of the Faculty of Science and Engineering. We coördinate programs to inform students, teachers, social organizations and a broad and diverse audience about and involve them in the faculty's research (often referred to as Public Engagement).

By offering a platform to science (press), we convey the spark, passion and enthusiasm for science and engineering of the University of Groningen. On the Zernike campus, in the region or further afield; we can be found at schools, in libraries, at events or on the road (in our science truck).

We work together with:

• Students and teachers in primary and secondary education, to generate interest in science and engineering and to stimulate research and design-based learning;
• Curious northerners, to involve them in scientific developments, for example through citizen science;
• Social organizations to be able to use scientific results.

In this way, the Science LinX team shows society what FSE does and what impact this has. In addition, we stimulate mutual learning and interdisciplinary activities to tackle the major challenges of our time together with social partners.
