Projects for students
An example of a recent student project: Irene del Carmen Pérez did her master project on charge transport and recombination in organic solar cells. Her work established a direct link between solar cell efficiency and the extraction of charges from the solar cell. In practice, this meant that Irene fabricated many different solar cells and related devices to measure their efficiency and characterise their charge transport properties. Her results, together with other data, have been published in Nature Communications 6, 7083 (2015).
We regularly host students from the University of Groningen to do their bachelor or master project. Our group works in very rapidly developing fields. Therefore, we cannot list concrete student projects as they would very quickly be outdated. Please contact us (l.j.a.koster'at'rug.nl) to get an overview of current topics. Please note, these projects are for University of Groningen students only.
We always make sure the student projects are scientifically interesting (and quite often lead to a publication) and we tailor it the student's interests. For example, we do experimental as well as simulation work. Depending on your interest, we can do one or the other, or even a combination of both.
