ISCOMS - (bio)Medical Student Congress

Science beyond borders

In June 2025, the 32nd edition of ISCOMS will take place in the UMCG. With last year's impressive turnout of over 600 participants from 54 different countries, the upcoming edition promises to be another fantastic event! Throughout a three day congress we offer a stimulating venue for student research exchange and give students the opportunity to broaden their social and scientific network. This year, our theme is ‘Harmonious Healthcare’ where will address the global challenges related to the environment, climate change, conflict, and healthcare.

Our scientific programme includes different researchers from students all over the world which are presented in poster, oral or plenary form, all in front of an international and professional audience. Along with these student sessions there will be fascinating keynote lectures and hands-on workshops. Furthermore, the social programme, filled with dinners and a closing party, gives a chance for all the participants to get to know and have fun with each other and the ISCOMS organisation.

Why participate?

• Get new insights and exchange research with students from all over the world

• Meet prominent researchers at our network lunch and thereby open your door to an international career filled with opportunities

• Connect with other participants and the ISCOMS organising committee at the conference and the social activities.

• Learn and get inspired by renowned Keynote lecturers, student presentations and active workshops.

• Present your research in front of a broad international and professional audience
