Welcome to the Graduate School of Medical Sciences (GSMS) of the University of Groningen. Every year, many young talented PhD candidates begin their journey in doing research and learning and developing skills enabling them to work and excel after their thesis defense as a Doctor of Philosophy in a competitive scientific community, both inside and outside academia.
