Awards and Merits

At the annual NWO innovation festival TEKNOWLOGY, seven striking and innovative research ideas have been awarded a €50,000 Open Mind grant. Prof. Ajay Kottapalli is one of the seven (center of the photograph).

Fish-inspired flow sensors for safer intravenous (IV) infusion therapy

Through this project, we propose to use bioinspired flow sensors in intravenous infusion monitoring by developing them into a medical device that integrates in-line into an IV tube ('works-like' prototype).
