Research ethics
The Bernoulli Institute (BI) has an ethics committee that evaluates research work leading to publications, funding proposals and similar with a data-centric focus. It gives recommendations about the secure, fair and transparent treatment (collection, processing and storage) of sensitive data based on EU guidelines. In its current form, the committee’s recommendations do not carry any legal implications and the committee does not have any legal responsibility/liability about the advice it offers.
