Education
We are committed to providing a challenging and innovative teaching environment and we are proud to dedicate to teaching every bit as much attention as to our research. Although research always informs teaching, high quality teaching is an aim in itself we strive to achieve. Combining theory and practice is an explicit goal in our teaching. Active engagement by students is a prerequisite for this. In our teaching in general, and in the practical assignments and working methods more specifically, we select topics that are an illustration of the role of international law in creating sustainable societies. Knowledge, understanding and skills are the three pillars of our teaching.
Our professors’ and lecturers’ expertise covers most branches of public international law and we are thus capable of supervising students in their collective and individual research assignments in a wide variety of fields. Most of our academic staff is involved in the supervision of bachelor’s, master’s and PhD theses.
