Efstratios Koulierakis (LL.M) appointed Research Fellow Information Society Law Center
Efstratios Koulierakis, LL.M, has been appointed Research Fellow of the ‘Information Society Law Center’ (ISLC) at the University of Milan, Italy. The Center, founded and directed by Professor Giovanni Ziccardi, is hosted by the Department of Legal Sciences ‘Cesare Beccaria’ of the University of Milan.
The fellowship programme of ISLC builds a network of scholars across different disciplines and institutions, in order to explore the fields of Legal Informatics, Cyberspace Law, and Digital Transformation. In that regard, the network of fellows examines technological and social aspects of the modern information society.
The Center’s activities are organised around 6 more specific research areas: cybersecurity, data governance, cybercrimes, harassment issues in cyberspace, digital regulation and legal tech. Efstratios was selected as an ISLC fellow for his expertise in the field of data protection law. His PhD work focuses on the legal challenges of knowledge graphs applications under the light of the GDPR. Efstratios aspires to further explore his research findings on compliance automation and data sharing, within the Center’s research areas of data governance and legal tech.
