Law students give specialized workshop at the University of Haifa, Israel
This month, a team of students from the Faculty Law participating in the ‘Cyber Attribution Project’ led by Evgeni Moyakine (Emma Brambilla, Emmy Zhang, Jakub Suchnicki, Janneke Douwes Dekker, Jessie Meij, Karolina Gruzel, Kyle Ludi, Lisa van der Tuin) gave a specialized workshop at the Center for Cyber Law & Policy of the University of Haifa, Israel.
Together with their supervisor, they identified pertinent questions to be addressed, shared their preliminary research results and received thorough feedback from the Israeli colleagues, including not only the teaching staff and the researchers but also the students of the university. In addition, wishes were expressed on both sides to engage in further academic collaboration in the future.
If you are interested in the questions of how malicious cyber operations carried out against the (Northern) Netherlands are to be attributed to States, when State responsibility can be invoked and what legal consequences this entails, you are welcome to join the final project workshop organized in Groningen on 27 March. You can find out more about the workshop and register for participation online via this link. Registration closes on Friday 24 March, at 3 p.m.
Given that the experts in the field of cybersecurity and State responsibility are the primary target audience of the workshop, people not specifically specialized in this area will only be allowed passive participation (muted, but with a possibility of asking questions through chat). If you are an expert in the field that has not been invited to attend the workshop, please send an email to cyberproject@rug.nl if you wish to be put on the list of active participants.
