When to go on Exchange?

The exchange period may last one semester or the entire academic year.

ATTENTION!

• The dates of semesters abroad can vary from those in Groningen; an exchange in our Fall semester may start between July and October and end between November and March !

• Always consult with a study advisor when an exchange best suits your own study program. The LLB students have a designated Fall semester of their third year to go on exchange. However, exceptions are possible.

• Check on which dates there are exams or other obligations in Groningen.

• Pay extra attention to a possible overlap in the end of the exchange Fall semester and the beginning of our Spring semester!

• In semester 2, the host universities often offer fewer (relevant) courses in English than in semester 1.

CHECK MORE INFORMATION ON OUR PARTNERS' PORTAL: IESE . The amount of available places per host university is always mentioned in the number of semester places per academic year. If you want to go for a whole year, you use 2 semester places. Please keep this in mind.
