Associate Lawyer - Giuseppe De Andreis

My name is Giuseppe de Andreis. I was born in the Caribbean Coast of Colombia, in a city called Barranquilla. I'm 30 years old.

What programme/track did you take in our Faculty? Why did you choose this programme/track?

I studied the LLM in European Law Specialization Energy & Climate Law. I chose this program because I believe regional unity is necessary in order to achieve certain levels of development and also because I believe climate change is the worst threat humankind will face in this century.

What have you done next to your programme? Which extracurricular activities did you participate in?

I participated in several student groups like ESN, amongst others.

What does your current job entail? Which competences are most important to this job?

My current job is Associate Lawyer in Sanclemente Fernandez Abogados S.A., a law firm located in Bogotá, the capital of Colombia. The firm was created in 1942 and offers a portfolio in legal and financial counseling services and has a remarkable track record and recognition on a local and international level in the Financial, Pharmaceutical, Aeronautical, Energy and Oil and Mining industries.

Giuseppe De Andreis is now a Professional at Promigas. 

How did you end up in this job? What is/was your career path?

I was working as Coordinator of Environmental Affairs and Sustainable Development of the Ministry of Transport of Colombia, and received and opportunity to come to the private sector.
