Promotor(s): Prof. G.J. Ashworth

The objective of the study, which results are applicable to many other areas, is to investigate whether through effective and efficient knowledge management better and more innovative decisions can be achieved. The world has changed since the Internet appeared, and by obtaining 'tacit' knowledge from (online) Communities of Practice deeper and better knowledge may be obtained which will possibly lead to better decision making. The Place Making Tube is a structure, after analogy of Einstein wormholes drawn, which connects two universes; that of practice and thus the place makers and the knowledge obtained from Communities where the (tacit) knowledge resides.
