Third Annual Legal Research Network Conference held in Groningen

21 October 2010

On 21 and 22 October 2010 the Groningen Law Faculty hosted the third Annual Conference of the Legal Research Network. The Legal Research Network, which was established in 2006, facilitates collaborative and international research between the Faculties of Law at the Universities of Budapest (ELTE), Bristol, Ghent, Göttingen, Groningen, Lille Nord de France, Turku and Uppsala. It runs both an Annual Conference for researchers, and a Summer School for doctoral students. The 2010 Summer School was held in Uppsala from 23 to 27 August.

The theme of the 2010 Annual Conference was “Experts in the judicial process”. Next to the workshops on this theme, workshops were organized on a wider range of subjects.

About 50 researchers from the universities participating in the Network attended the conference, 22 of them presented a paper about their current research. For more information about the programme, the abstracts and papers.

The 2011 Summer School and Annual Network Conference will be organized by the Law Faculty of the University of Göttingen; in 2012 Budapest will be the host of both activities.
